Half Day Course Objectives

Half Day Training (4 hours) For clinicians working with Compulsive Sexual Behavior (CSB)/CSATs and those working with Betrayed Partners.

  • Objective 1: Analyze the prevalence of pornography use.

  • Objective 2: Evaluate software options available for clients with compulsive sexual behavior

  • Objective 3: Differentiate clinical signs associated with problematic pornography use. Apply differential diagnosis criteria and diagnostic codes of Comobidity

  • Objective 4: Examine Etiology of Addictions and Neurotransmitter Patterns

  • Objective 5: Assess clinical indicators therapists can use to evaluate compulsive sexual behavior (CSB) in clients.

  • Objective 6: Identify Gaslighting Patterns. Identify commonly used applications associated with addictive behaviors and concealment strategies in clients.

  • Objective 7: Explain the role of key neurotransmitters in addiction versus healthy relational bonding.

  • Objective 8: Compare and apply screening and assessment tools for sex addiction . Differentiate cross-addiction patterns and binge–purge behavioral cycles.

  • Objective 9: Evaluate common clinical errors when treating betrayed partners.Describe the stages of recovery for betrayed partners and associated clinical considerations. Identify barriers to family recovery within child–parent systems

  • Objective 10: Examine contributing factors associated with impulse-control-related gun violence. Develop strategies to support healing and reduce risk related to violent impulses.

Full Day Course Objectives

Full Day Training (8 hrs) For EMDR clinicians who are cross-trained as EMDR/CSATs to learn what you may be missing, become more competent when addressing cross-addictions and deepen the treatment outcomes to get to the root of CSB

  • Objective 11: Identify the Risks of premature trauma processing in EMDR with Addiction clients.

  • Objective 12: Identify 5 Coping Patterns that reinforce addiction cycles and provide “Micro-Hits”

  • Objective 13: Explain how attachment-based Phase 2 EMDR interventions support stabilization and facilitate the emergence of repressed material.

  • Objective 14: Compare assessment tools used to evaluate dissociation.

  • Objective 15: Outline the clinical process for assessing and treating revenge-based impulse control disorders.

  • Objective 16: Demonstrate How EMDR Inverted Protocol can be used with Impulse Control disorders

  • Objectives 17: Identify Yellow Circle Targets for Stabilization and skill-building in recovery

  • Objective 18: Demonstrate EMDR procedures with compulsive sexual behavior (CSB)

  • Objective 19: Demonstrate EMDR procedures for Betrayed Partner Clients

  • Objective 20: Apply EMDR procedures for Violence based Impulse disorders (Gun Violence Prevention)

Jennifer Jones

Jennifer Jones is a licensed psychotherapist, certified EMDR therapist, EMDR Consultant, EMDR HAP Facilitator and EMDRIA approved trainer and Teacher in Training for the US Esogetic Colorpuncture Institute. Specializing in treating traumatized children and adults for over 20 years. She specializes in treatment of trauma and addiction issues in adults and children and uses Esogetic Colorpuncture extensively in her work. .Currently, she provides trauma healing, including holistic therapies, through Be the Change Global Wellness in Puerto Rico and Milwaukee. . She also uses parts/ego states work and the role attachment has on trauma and in-depth assessment and treatment of dissociation. Jennifer is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, treating process addictions including pornography and video gaming, spending, shopping, exercise and relationship issues. Also specializing in children with RAD, ADHD, PTSD, sensory issues, behavior problems, adoption & attachment issues, complex trauma, sexual & physical abuse, neglect & relational trauma. Jennifer is the only EMDR Trainer cross trained as a CSAT & Certified Sex Offender Therapist. Cross trained in holistic treatments she provides mindfulness, meditation, breath work & spirituality for a high level of well rounded individual attunement. Her current work is providing trauma healing intensives and global humanitarian work as a trauma specialist and EMDR Trainer with Be the Change Global Wellness in Puerto Rico to train therapists in EMDR, providing pro bono consultation and address the mental health crisis by providing Pro Bono therapy after earthquake and hurricane disasters.
